Message from the President

IMG_2743And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (II Timothy 2:2)

In II Timothy 2:2 the apostle Paul uses analogy of a teacher teaching a teacher, who in turn, teaches other teachers, and those teachers teach still other teachers. Although Paul mentions only four generations of teachers, the idea is that of a continuing process. The Bible clearly teaches that the gospel is to be transmitted from generation to generation. This is why in our churches we have elementary-age teachers, junior-high teachers, high-school teachers, college and career teachers, and adult teachers. The teachers of each age group are important links in training others in the principles and doctrine of God’s Word. If one generation does not teach the next generation, this link will be broken. In every generation, God has raised up new links in this living chain of “faithful men” to pass on the good news of Jesus Christ to the people of their day. Creating a legacy by teaching “faithful men” still applies to us today. This is the goal of Legacy International Seminary. Legacy International Seminary is part of that chain because we are teaching and discipling others so that they can pass on to others the teachings of the Bible. Our desire is that through your training at Legacy International Seminary you will become part of that living chain of taking the gospel to the world.

We are thankful for Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary for allowing us to use their courses to provide a biblically-based education for you. In 2015, Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, Pennsylvania closed after 35 years of ministry. We are adapting and using their courses to offer a distance learning seminary for you.

Legacy International Seminary is committed to helping equip believers to be part of the living chain who will make a spiritual impact in the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
